Volunteers are the heart of Inland Valley Wildlife Project. By giving your time, you’ll play a direct role in the rescue, care, and release of injured and orphaned wildlife throughout Southwest Riverside County. Whether you help with animal care, transport, education, or daily support tasks, every volunteer makes a difference.

No experience is required — we provide training and guidance to ensure you feel confident and supported. All you need is compassion, reliability, and a willingness to learn.

 Inland Valley Wildlife Project (IVWP) offers a hands-on internship program designed to train the next generation of wildlife rehabilitators, conservationists and animal care professionals. Interns support the rescue, care, and release of wildlife while learning directly from permitted wildlife rehabilitators in compliance with California Department of Fish & Wildlife (CDFW) and U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service (USFWS) guidelines.

 Together, we train future wildlife rehabilitators while giving wildlife the care it needs to return to the wild.
